In today's advanced dentistry, single-tooth implant restoration stands as a minimally invasive technique with an impressive long-term success rate ranging from 92% to 97%. Dr. Tedders is well-versed in this procedure, offering patients a reliable solution for restoring a missing tooth with a natural-looking and functional implant.

The single tooth replacement process typically spans over 3 to 4 months, beginning with the initial implant surgery. During this stage, Dr. Tedders ensures that patients are comfortably anesthetized as he prepares the underlying bone to receive the implant. A small incision provides access to the bone, where the implant is securely placed and tightened.

At this juncture, Dr. Tedders may decide to either "bury" the implant, covering it with gum tissue, or to place a healing abutment-a screw extender facilitating access to the implant during the healing process. Following implant placement, the patient undergoes a period of several months for the implant to integrate with the surrounding bone, ensuring its stability and longevity.
After approximately three months of healing, the patient returns for final impressions for the custom abutment and porcelain tooth.
